Default Our morning paper had a great security tip!

It was geared to logging into any of your personal accounts, email or whatever, on a public pc, however, it is a great idea for those that use their notebooks at wifi hotspots and don't have a vpn. After each legitimate username/password keystroke (or any combination), go up to the address bar or any other field and enter a character(s). Never read or heard of doing such a simple thing. It did say there may be other ways for crooks to get your info but that pretty much neutralizes keylogging. Not to say they couldn't try every combination of your strokes and eventually luck out and get it.

i thought that entering characters in other fields didnt always work to defeat keylogger??

btw, there are some free VPN apps/services out there(Anchor Free)...dont think that protects from a keylogger though, only a sniffer....
