Hello,
We made the original image while booting to the Universal Restore media, and saved it to a USB 2.0 External HD. It took only a matter of hours to make the image. We're taking the image and putting it on a beefier server (hardware wise) using the Universal Restore process (Safe Version) However, the restore is saying 1 day and X amount of hours, as apposed to the few hours it took to do the backup. When we boot to Universal Restore FUll Version, the Acronis does not see our RAID, when we boot to the safe version, Acronis sees our RAID any ideas what may be going on? Hello tomjlael,
Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software. The reason for that the estimated restore time appears to be so large while using the Safe version of Acronis True Image Bootable Media is that it is based on DOS which itself doesn't have any drivers for USB devices support and works with your ext drive through USB1.1 interface provided by BIOS (USB1.1 maximum data transfer speed is 40 times lower than modern USB2.0, 12 Mbit/s against 480 Mbit/s). So in this case the only possible way to solve the issue is to make the Full version of Acronis True Image Bootable Media (which is based on the most recent version of Linux kernel) properly detect your RAID array. Please create Acronis Report and Linux system information (sysinfo.txt) as it is described in Acronis Help Post. Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and will definitely to provide you with a solution. Thank you. Best Regards, Alexey Bogomolov

You have another option. You can use BartPE or VistaPE with the plugins and scripts available for a small fee on my website. These plugins and scripts support the Universal Restore feature. They include the full functionality of the program including image mounting. The Acronis supplied BartPE plugin does not support Universal Restore or image mounting.
