anyone tried the free one year bitdefender?

i saw this on a german web site and filled i out and got the key i was wondering if it will still work for 2008 version since it says its for 9 instead.. anyone know? thanks

 

Only one I've seen that is for 2008 is the 30 day trial, which was certainly long enough for me. You could try the old license and see if it works although I'm not sure.

A full month is usually all that's necessary so if it doesn't work you can still use that.

 

yes, it works. It's 365 days for free. It works for BIS 2008

honestly i would question any licence that is valid for only 12 months.

bitdefender licences are.... 24 months.

I don't understand german but i was able to make sense of the website and get the free license. I run bitdefender total security before and it was an efficient, lightweight suite so i've no doubts the ISS will run just as good, if not better.

Well, i tried using the serial given into the BDAV 2008 version (not suite) but it didn't work, i had to use the one month trial option instead...
Anyway, uninstalled it few days after because of the constant prompts for restart when updating certain signatures definitions.

 

...and you have to enter "security03" as coupon code

 

Good thing I'm a German otherwise I'd be knackered with that page

The key is for the BD 9 Professional Plus version but according to s4u and the link above, it works also for the new BD IS 2008.
