wallixPro: http://www.bestsecuritytips.com/downloads/WallixPro-setup.exe (caution on this one - no description page available) Protoport Personal Firewall: http://www.protoport.com/index.firewall PktFilter: http://www.hsc.fr/ressources/outils/pktfilter/ NetVeda: safty.net http://www.netveda.com/downloads/downloadform.asp?product=sn&lic=serv AS3 Personal Firewall: http://www.software4u.tk/ nDispatcher: http://www.ndispatcher.com/2products/ndispatcher.asp?lang=en does anyone used them, and is any one good?
I used Netveda some time ago. This time when they gave the free version 3.8, don't know why but it caused a memory leak in my pc. I guess not in the rest since I have not seen any complaints except mine. Looks like a good firewall. Not so friendly to setup, at least for me. Bad part is its forum. You can ask a question, go on vacations for 1 month come back and maybe you have the answer. regards.
Netveda used to bediscussed around here, the othere I have not heard of. I wonder if they are original, based on an old version of something, or open source derrived.
I think it would be more appropriate if you made sure you linked to some info instead of direct downloads or registration forms. The Walixpro link is a direct download. I certainly do not want in on my computer before getting some info about it. The Netveda link is nothing but a registration form. The AS3 link gives me nothing but "page cannot be displayed."
Here's the Wallix pro description page: http://www.bestsecuritytips.com/content index.id 8.htm A review from Softpedia: http://www.softpedia.com/reviews/windows/Wallix-Pro-Review-48581.shtml Supposedly a front end to the Windows XP firewall. If it worked with the Vista firewall it might be interesting.
This might help out. WallixPro http://www.bestsecuritytips.com/content index.id 8.htm Netveda http://www.netveda.com/consumer/safetynet.htm AS3 - The link to the website appears to be down. Maybe the site got pulled down? The AS are the author's initials. I believe he is Russian. http://shareware.pcmag.com/product.php[id]90663[SiteID]pcmag
