Avast! and virus called Win32:Notre
Yesterday my AV detected this virus but ... no other AV confirmed that my pagefile was indeed infected ... is this a false positive ? Anybody else with the same problem? I googled and obviously many other Avast! users experience the same thing : only Avast! seems to be capable to detect this virus ...
BTW : can I delete this pagefile ? It's on the HD which is NOT in use...

If it was found in the pagefile, it may well be a false positive.
BTW I don't really recommend deleting the file. I'd recommend going to forum.avast.com and start a new topic about this there. Thanks Vlk |

Pagefile can be safely deleted anytime you want. OS recreates it by itself if it's ot present. You have to disable it by hand first, otherwise it's locked by OS.
