Default scanning in safe mode?

hello

i have windows xp installed
can i run nod32 in safe mode? will any features be disabled? i read that running an antivirus in safe mode is more effective.
also, how do i configure nod32 to scan as thoroughly as possible.i don't mind how long it takes, how do i get the most out of a scan?

thank you.

Default Re: scanning in safe mode?

in safe mode you can only run on-demand scanner. realtime protection will be disabled. in EAV 3 you need to run ecls.exe (ESET command line scanner) to scan your drive.
