Default does the reg edit for kis tags 100% work?

i think im going to pick up a lic for kis7 and a few have told me about the registry edit to eliminate the tagging.. does this 150% work? has anyone verified that it def works and if it does minus the slower scan times will there be any effect thanks a million...

You can disable the Object IDs by disabling iSwift in Kaspersky's options dialog.

that only disables them for on demand scanning from what everyone says though. ive been told it does not disable them from real time scanning

Are you talking about the Registry or Kaspersky?

the registry edit that will make the iswift no longer function. and i can edit the registry just fine, i just need to know if this edit for kav actually does stop the object id's as many have told me it does.

Well I've yet to hear about Kaspersky Killing Computers, Viruses yes, but messing with the registry certainly does kill your Computer

Yes, when you uncheck iSwift within the graphic user interface or during installation, it only prevents on-demand scans from using it. Real-time protection will still use it.

However, one can disable that, too, from within the registry, by going to...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\protected\AVP7\profiles\File_Monitoring\settings

...and set the UseIStreams key to 0 instead of the default 1.

not worried about messing with the registry have done it for a long time.. no big deal lol
