Default NOD32 v3.0.566 Hangs on file transfers

NOD32 V3.0.566 hangs with ekrnl consuming 50% of the CPU.

I first noticed this after upgrading in place to 3.0.566. File downloaded was 128mb. Download proceeded normally but hung at end. Task Manager showed ESET kernel at 50% of the CPU. Same thing moving or copying a local file. I also noticed that email processing was slower.

Removed NOD32, reboot, re-installed, same problem. Removed again, rebooted and installed NOD32 v2.7.39. Problem disappeared.

OS: Vista Ultimate, CPU, P4 3.6ghz, 2gb ram, 2x250gb SATA drives with at least 128gb open on each.

Did not notice this issue with prior version. First installed version was 3.0.560 (?) and it worked without issue.
