    Interesting read, backed up by some useful figures. I had a quick skim, but will re-read later.

    I wonder how the feature set has increased in comparison.

    I haven´t read the whole article but I also think that software always need to be as light on resources as possible, no matter how fast the processor is, and no matter how much RAM is installed. Only then we will actually get a feeling that PC´s are becoming faster. Same thing with Javascript, I read an article that new specifications are coming up, you got to be kidding me! We need to get rid of that crap, the only thing it has done is make the web unsafer and even worse, make the web slower. :gack:

    Well let's put it this way. I've upgrade hardware so memory isn't an issue. Would I go back to Office 2000 from 2007 to save memory. No way. I couldn't work anymore without some of the new features.
