When do I use enough protection ?

Thanks for a very informative forum. I have a question regarding the security products that I use: I currently use the shields from these:

NOD32 ESET Antivirus ver. 3 w/ full protection
Spysweeper
AVG Anti Spyware

Is is really neccesary to use all this to be protected or can I leave any of them out ?

you can get rid of the last 2 and add a HIPS and some kind of virtualization/sandboxing.

Thanks for your answers. I mean that I use the NOD32 v3 with all options activated (full protection).

What is HIPS ?
