    Hi,

I was running NOD32 3.0.560 without problems [other than the already reported bug issues].

I went to install the new version NOD32 3.0.563 over the top, but this failed with the following message as per the attached image. [No other applications were running at the time]. So, I cancelled out of the install and rolled back the install to NOD32 3.0.560

I then tried a clean uninstall of NOD32 3.0.560, but got exactly the same error message, so cancelled out of the uninstall.

On rebooting I now have NOD32 3.0.560 still on the computer, but Real-time file system protection is disabled and I am unable to enable it.

Can anyone assist with the method to get a clean uninstall of NOD32 3.0.560 so that I can continue my attempt to install NOD32 3.0.563?

    Rgds,

    Chalawah

Yes I also got that, you'll need to uninstall the previous version add/remove programs, you'll more than likely after that find eset services is still running so you will need to disable that!

I also cleaned the registry but you'll probably not have to do that :doubt:

You can then install the new version :D

I now tried a 'repair' install of v3.0.560 and was prompted for a reboot. After the reboot I still have no Real-time file system protection as this is disabled and I am unable to enable it.

Now going to try removing using the Control Panel +/- Programs as per djmorgans suggestion.

    Will report back.

Remove 3.0.560 using Control Panel +/- Progs fails

I went to the NOD 32 settings and disabled the remaining protection. Went to Services and disabled both Eset Http Server and Eset Service.

I now tried removing NOD 32 AV 3.0.560 using the Control Panel +/_ Programs but this too has failed with a new message as attached:

Now I have no Eset icon in the task bar area...

Will try a reboot and see what is there.

I should have mentioned that I am running XP SP2 fully updated, XP Athlon 2800+, 1GB mem.

Rebooted...and went to Control Panel, tried uninstalling Eset again...this time it completed the uninstall.

Then had to go to Safe Mode so as to be able to delete the Eset folder in C\Programs.

    Rebooted.

Went to Services.... "C:\Program Files\Eset\ESET NOD32 Antivirus\ekrn.exe" remains listed as disabled.

Will now try a reg clean and reboot and install of version 3.0.563
