    Hi Everyone,

Just thought I would let you know that we changed our mind about making Online Armor v1.1 free.

Instead, we've decided to make a free version based on the v2 product instead :D

We're still running through a few infrastructure-related things and checking it out thoroughly - but if anyone would like to play, you can get it here...

    http://www.tallemu.com/online_armor_free.html

We have removed advanced mode firewall (standard mode remains); keylogger detection; webshield and mail shield.

This still has activation, and contains an embedded trial key - we're sorting that out over the next few days - and I will post again when the final version of OA Free is fully cooked.

    Cheers

    Mike

    Hi, Folks: Hi, Mike:
A very smart move indeed, :thumb:
By doing this, you will generate massive users' feedback, consequently, fame, reputation and revenue will pour in. We have seen few excellent apps with their developers' constant and tireless involvements here to assistant members' needs from time to time and have learned standing ovation, OA is one of them. You are probably not the first one adopting this smart approach, but have once again proven its significance in users' minds. Good luck. :thumb:

    Hi Mike!
Does the firewall run under its own service?

    /C.

It has its own drivers; only one service for OA

This is interesting news,i was always curious about OA.But i wish that for the free version no online activation was necessary.I hate online activation as a line of principle and i see no reason for freeware versions to have it.You could ask for registration with a valid email, but it would be great if you could spare the online activation for some paranoid people like me. :D

    Thanks Mike,

Now i can finally use oa with firewall for a longer period then a trial offers.

Any chance you can comment why you haven't given me an email or pm with instructions to buy oa trough wire transfer? A simple no could have been sufficient. I am still wondering about that.

    Cheers.

IMHO, such questions/answers should not be on open forum. Please PM Mike, here or at their own website, or, e-mail/ contact their support http://www.tallemu.com/contact_us.html

You have removed the firewall or it still has the firewall?
I'm thinking of installing OA but I want to know if I need to uninstall my current firewall.

@MikeNash: Does OA:s firewall give unsolicited inbound protection during boot?

Awesome. I've heard great things about Online Armour's Firewall regarding leak tests, etc. Hopefully this free version provides outstanding protection with minimal user interaction. I'll be giving this a try.
