Default What is Link-Layer Topology Discovery Responder

Its seems a service installed to my network adapter but why? What does it do.

I uninstalled it only to discover problems with some sites.

Hello,
I really have no idea why this makes such a problem.
Is this also an nlited Windows? Are you using QoS for your adapter?
Could you please post a screenshot of your network adapter properties...

Hello,
Try disabling the lltd but enabling qos, see if it works.
Install the qos manually.
Cheers,
Mrk

I couldnt install QoS since its removed, so I tried something else:

I uninstalled LLTD and teh VMWare Protocol (I wont be using it atm) and then installed cFosSpeed. So far no problems (quick reply seems a lil slow tho). Weird

Hello,
More than weird. But again, since this is a custom Windows, anything is possible. Only the God of Cyberia knows what little dll or something might be missing.

Welcome to VISTA ! I think its something that really isn't needed, I know for a fact XP don't have nothing like it. That being said I wish I knew what the real purpose is for having such a service........................................

LLTD enables device discovery. I had to install LLTD to the xp machines so that they would show on my network with vista comps that use it.
