I was at major geeks recently and this caught my eye... http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4363.html I clicked on the author and got this... http://www.mersenne.org/ It turns out to be a great app. for over-clocking and benchmarking, but as far as the other function goes, I'm even more curious. Any users

Prime 95 is used frequently for stability testing and works as advertized.

That's what I've dLo'ed & tested it for, and works very well. But this primality-testing for GIMPS, is this for real

And if it is, for what purpose (other than $$$)

None, its more a labour of love - a love for maths which has helped in other things such as computing.
