    HAS ANYONE HAS HEARD ABOUT THIS SOFTWARE
    ESCAN VIRUS CONTROL EDITION FROM www.mwti.net. IS ESCAN IS EFFECTIVE.

    Escan should be effective as it is a KAV-engined AV. However, it is fairly heavy on system resources and so may not be a wise choice on older systems.

    Their support is also supposedly very good too.

    I use it as a on-demand scanner only and I like it, just put it permanently in a folder.

    BUT TAKE CARE, it can erases a suspicious file without asking you first. It happened to me, so I had to re-download a couple of things...

    I wrote to the support service, and all they said to me about that fact is they're gonna leave it that way...
    So don't try it on anything sensible.

    BTW they upgraded their proggy:
    15 dec 2003
    KAV updates works well with it.
