I think that there is somehow a little error with PPUpdater.
PPUpdater itself keeps trying to get a new version for itself. Now looking at this page: http://pestpatrol.com/Support/Downloads.asp#databases I see at the bottom half of that page these two lines about PPUpdater: 1. PPUpdater.exe: PestPatrol Memory Scanner. Last revised: January 05, 2004 Size: 251,904 bytes. 2. PPUpdater.exe: Update tool for all components. Last revised: January 05, 2004 Size: 251,904 bytes. The description in that first line is not correct: PPUpdater is not the PestPatrol Memory Scanner. It is, as the second tells, the Update tool for all components. So I guess that there was a little error made while uploading the new files on the server, and that that is causing PPUpdater to keep trying to update itself. As far as I know until now PPUpdater could not be updated by itself. I guess I'll try to notify the PP-folks. |
