    How do I capture a search here to link to at another site? I was answering someone's question about what is CyberHawk over at dslreports and I told them to come here because there were lots of threads on CyberHawk. I listed the thread I recalled the best and then also gave a link for a search I did here that had 23 pages of threads listed. The first link was good ...the second link the OP informed me was no good. I checked it just now and it returns a message
    "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."

    So, is it not possible to link to a search here with V-Bulletin software? Or is there a trick I don't know? I just copied/pasted the url in the address bar.

    Hi Mele20,

    Lose the tail end (&highlight=search+link) of the thread you searched for.
    After title searching your thread this is what she looked like ....

    ht*tp://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=184476&highlight=search+link

    Losing the bolded end will provide the link as you wish. ;)

    For this - ".... then also gave a link for a search ...." simply supply your search term's.

    Edit: Further, the "searchid" didn't change after multiple attempt's.
    I did find reference to a vBulletin snippet perhap's one of the Admin's will comment on.

    do=process&query

    Thanks. I'll try to remember that I have to link to a Google search of this forum.
