Hello montyq,
Returnil is completely safe to use and simple to configure. I would however strongly recommend that you read the commentary and questions that have been posted in this forum. There is allot of good information and commentary that can help you understand the software.

With kind regards
Mike

I'm an average user and RVS is super safe from my experience. I've used it on 4 systems and its always run flawlessly.

It's taken the place of Powershadow, which stopped working, on my machine. I haven't done anything serious like downloading infected files or anything. I did download a very large word processing program to check out, ran it in Returnil, then moved the .exe file to my other hard drive, rebooted and all traces of the word processor are gone from C: drive. That's about as daring as I get, and that's what I want Returnil for. It's a keeper and pig simple to use.

... and protects more than one partition. Returnil protects only partition [C:].
Several members have done some real torture tests with ShadowDefender like :
- the very destructive DEL-command in DOS CMD window
- trying to corrupt partitions
ShadowDefender saved their computer each time.
The next release will be even better after Peter's torture tests.
