Default SAVCE10 for XP comments

I'm currently with KAV7, and not liking it one bit very heavy on resources, impossible to game with it. Thinking about going back with SAVCE10. Is it good, what are detection rates like?

Really want to use it again, boy is it a pain to uninstall.

Anyone using it?

Thanks

Just want some general comments, experiences, infections etc.

I just tried SAVCE on XP about a week ago:

- the detection rates are very good
- not big resource hog like the Norton products
- a annoying bug that made me uninstall SAVCE: when eMule is completing a large downloaded file my system becomes very slow (as hell) because the SAVCE scanning process, i also tried to exclude the eMule temp files from scanning but without any good result.
Overall i really like it and is a good software (if someone doesn't use eMule)

Thanks for the opinions, I do alot of malware research and I'm a very big virustotal user and I'm uploading alot of files up to there.

Avira, KAV, NOD32 and all your big AVs are picking something up, very rarely I see SAVCE picking anything up (It's the 10.1/2 version cant be sure if its for Vista or XP)

But thanks for the opinion, I had trouble uninstalling last time I used it. Saying
it needs to be an admin account (even though it is) tried safe mode and nothing.

Just had to manually uninstall which was a pain let me tell you.

Thanks

Although detection rate is not the most important thing - you can always check AV-Comparatives

Hello Relemar,
hold fire for a while!
have you uninstalled kav6.0 propersly before installing version kav7?
ive found kis7.0 alot lighter and better than kis6.0
read dons sticky
http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=44499
if that doesnt solve the issue post at the kaspersky forums.
so did you uninstall savcd10 from add and remove program reboot and install kav7?
is so you should stronly consider uninstalling kav7 running the norton removal tools rebooting then install a fresh of kav7
norton remaindents are the main cause of problems with a different AV.

I have NoNa2.43(by Symantec) but I don't know if it will remove 10.2 in its entirety, it says it can remove 10 but I haven't tried it. I think the latest version is 2.51 but it is only available from "shady" sites.
If you are interested let me know and I will upload it for you.
