spyware again

Hi im not sure where these r coming from i ran other day was clean wake up in the morning and see that? hmmmm Could it be i have some rar file left somewhere and theyre creeping out? anything that is a good registry protector? scanner dammit.... MD

 

Goodness. What are you running on your machine?- what browser, as, av, fw, etc?

 

hi i use FF mostly and IE 7, windows xp firewall, AVG suite, spybot sand d thats it MD

I just put on spyware terminator and it found some keylogger , and changed av to antivir for a while it seems better now though since spybot and ST got rid of them , X fingers

 

The Spyware Terminator real-time guard is pretty good. But the scanning is notorious for false positives. It may be a good idea to download the free version of SuperAntiSpyware and run it on demand. SAS has frequent updates and very few false positives. It and Spybot would be a nice combo to run on demand from time to time.

Is there anything keeping you from running Linux for basic web surfing? I mean keep window's for sites that absolutely require it if that's the kind of activity you're involved in but, if there's nothing holding you there .... time for some freedom buddy. *If interested state whether dial-up or high speed, and if your BIOS can boot from flash.

High speed's good. Boot from flash is something your bios can do.
Boot from floppy, cd-rom, hard disk, or most newer puter's, flash, as in drive.

Were you running the XP firewall along with AVG suites' firewall? If so they could possibly conflict.

 

no just xp firewall.... I've ran Nod online scan all clean and am now using SAS with Realtime hopefully the badies r gone

yes all was updated and i double checked with auto patcher !


Im running Spywaredoc with Av in it... seems ok alongside Antivir i like it better then SAS, im running 2 gig so not using alot!

 

im still get few adversting cookies? castalmedia.com and Tdata burstnet etc do i worry about them Spywaredoc keeps finding them remove them finding them so forth MD

i added the castalmedia to FF exeption list and am now using this
