Default suggestion: option for disabling update notification

hi i couldnt find any option to disable update notifications. Normally this isnt a big problem but i find that ESS shows notifications even when i am running a game or watching a movie which is irritating. Update notifications are hardly important when ess sometimes updates multiple times in a day.

Settings > User Interface > Alerts and Notifications > "Display only notifications requiring user intervention."
