Default Scanning Problem (acess denied, filed locked etc )

Hi, I bought NOD32 yesterday after hearings its the best / or one of the best anti virus programs out there.
I downloaded the updates so now i believe its fully upto date.
And i'm trying to do a scan by opening NOD32, then going NOD3 - In Depth Analysis - then it begins to scan.
But after a few minutes the log thing becomes filled of thousands (not an exaggeration ) of files in blue writing, saying ( Access Denied ), ( File Locked ) are the main ones, and theres some error occured while reading archive in folders there too.
Is this normal? ( im almost certain it won't be )
What can i do to fix it, and what can cause this?
Cheers!
Gibbsy.
PS theres 2 profiles on this computer, both admins ( im on one of course )
Oh and its windows media centre edition, and running scan in safe mode
And sorry this post is so messy and hard to understand
