Default Uninstaller with Installation Monitoring...

Which uninstaller have good and fast Installation Monitoring Feature?

The current ones that I know are

Total Uninstall
TrashIt
Ashampoo Uninstaller..

As far as I know, I'm trialing Total Uninstall now and it kindof works quite well with great speed.... Am kindof liking it but I wanna look at its other competitors to see if there are other features..

I tried Ashampoo Uninstaller and its definately VERY VERY Bloatware with a Scannning Engine that is 5 times slower than that of Total Uninstall.. So, please do not try it.

haven't tried TrashIt as I just found out from another Thread..
Any other Uninstallers with Installation Monitoring Technology?

Thanks

Your uninstaller!
I've been using it reliably with the features you mentioned. And it is pretty fast.

Hmm.. Forget about Trash It!
I just tried it just now and its totally crap and has not been updated from 2004...

From the look of it, Your Uninstaller looks rather bloated, but I'll give it a try and see how it goes..

Ermm.. I don't think Your Uninstaller! 2006 (hxxp://www.ursoftware.com/uninstaller.htm) have the feature to monitor installations?

Well,
When new programs or updates are installed, the application shows those installations in red. This is how I understand installation monitoring. Is there more to it?

Yeah.. How they do that is basically just monitor your Add/Remove registries for new Applications.. But thats quite "useless"

What I meant by Installation Monitoring is to do a snapshot of the System BEFORE the application installs and one snapshot afterwards and compare the difference between the 2.. This way, you get ALL the changes done by the installation...

That's exactly what Total Uninstall does.

I have YU and it definitely does not monitor (log) installations. However, it manages to do a thorough (albeit not perfect) and fast cleanup immediately after running the uninstall program.

I was thinking about getting TU, but my friend who has it says that it logs every entry during install, but when attempting to remove some of those during uninstall, it issues warnings about potential sharing of the entry and leaves you in a quandry as to what to do.

Yeah.. I understand that Total Uninstall does that.. But I was just exploring other options to see how TU fare against them.. Its never good for TU to monopolise the whole market is it?

Bad GUI but I'd always rather liked it

besides TU does not scan whole registry

You could try ZSoft Uninstaller V2.3.4 - but slow and does not do binary keys?

What do you mean by does not scan whole registry? I think they do except for cloned registry hives?

Well, I guess its user interface leaves much to be desired in this mordern time.. But I guess it does scan all registry entries.. It even detected a "rootkit" registry key installed by IDM once I tried it..
