Why did NOD32 suddenly download an engine0 update over 1 MB in size today?

And it also downloaded a file named expire.rar

Any ideas?

Hi,
this is a new feature incorporated to the new PCU, which will inform the user automatically when his license is due for renewal. This particular file should be downloaded only once a day.
