Unhappy Blocking ip addresses on failed logins of windows 2000

I am having a problem with people who have recently hacked a server I am managing. I could easily disable remote desktop but I use it. Is there any software that can block ip addresses after so many failed attempts to connect to remote desktop or ftp?

Thanks for your help.
