Today I was working on / cleaning / updating my daughters computer. I received an e-mail from BlueCoat w/ re: to an update for K-9 web protection.
When I opened the app I noticed a "few hundred" sites blocked due to spy / malware. I use SAS, AVG AS and aSquared on her box, they never really find anything except the odd tracking cookie. And she is No Safe Surfer. I read an article this morning about X thousands of people getting infected w/ an exploit on MySpace. Spending most of her time on sites like MySpace, I decided to clean the box. To my suprise, there was nothing there to clean. K-9 really protected this computer.
In my mind itsa failsafe whereas SiteAdvisor and the like are just warnings.

Just thought I'd share this tidbit of useless information.

Most interesting observation. Perhaps unrelated, but it is your personal experience. I looked at their website better, and it does look good.

    Thanks for sharing:thumb:
