That is quite an offer. I saw that the Hard Disk Manager 8 sells for $79.95 on Paragon's site. This is Hard Disk Manager 8 Special Edition. So I am assuming they are pretty similar.

I keep getting a pop-up window asking for user name and password, when I try ticking the bos "login anonomous" it doesn't work. I tried with Iexplore,Firefox and Opera browsers.
AmHave I become brain dead?

I cannot get past that popup either. It has a username and password already in there but does not work.

I got a user name/password in the email from Paragon after I registered. I have not began the download yet so I am not sure that will help though.

You must register the product first you will then receive your product key along with the SERIAL NUMBER: which you then enter the box and download

It looks like they removed the name/passw. because of the #530 error. (ftp)

I installed yesterday and works like a charm.

i cant get it to work eiether.
i got my serial code.
but when i click on the link in opera,firefox or IE7 i get the login box and cant login in.
when do you think the link will work again?
it says offer valid until 11 april 2007 its only the 8th
if you have registered and got the serial number you should be able to login on to the paragon website and download the lastest version there.
login with the your email address and password given in the email.
dang dont work cant download a version why from paragon why not?
i registred with paragon so should be able to download updates from them

The login screen actually looked like you have to register with computeractive, which I did. But to no avail. Still same response from the login screen. But I have not yet gotten an email confirmation from computeractive about registering with their site.

On the Paragon site there is Hard Disk Manager 8 but the free offer was for Hard Disk Manager 8 Special Edition. So they may be different registration req's. But if anyone is successful in downloading and registering HD Manager 8 instead please make a post.

whats the use of a serial code if i dont have the installer.

what was the username and password for the site?
its only an install file and i have a serial code so they should allow me to download it.
if i get it i can install it and then use the tool to create a recovery cd then test it out.

Something like this always seem to happen when these vendors make a "free" offer. I dunno if it's just deja vu or they reconsider the offer but make it actually available on a predetermined time schedule to keep the server from getting overloaded.

PARAGON is been my favorite of choice for years now and the best investment of any program like that bar none. I found them much more user-friendly and stable compared to Acronis & Ghost which almost turned me off completely in this area before discovering then trying PARAGON.

If this rings true, you guys are in a for a nice treat that will offer you years of good and dependable use. They made a believer out of me. Latest Version user here. Heck i still have my old version 6 of Hard Disk Manager Pro that still works like a charm!

secondly i would be in for a treat if the download link worked but it doesnt atm.
i was looking forward to trying it out upstairs to see if i could use it on the pc im building soon rather thaning buying software.
i was gonna buy eiether paragon or shadow protect desktop anyway.
if i cant get download it i will download the trial and test that out anyway.

I'm trying to help you guys out by going thru the same steps but the download link is toast right now. If i cut down the link to the index of the FTP site i get in but presented with a password box. Well i registered like you guys and entered that info into the password box thinking maybe it would open the door but no doing. I guess they have it configured for the one file directly by a single full URL. I done that same jockying at the Microsoft ftp site once and got in to download some console tools. I know these ftp sites can be a pain sometimes when trying to access by browser.

Anyone does finally find the way to the special offer installer we're all eyes here.

Last night I was able to download the program and then I registered at the site and immediately received a key via email for it. Wawadave at CastleCops confirmed that he had it downloaded and running on his computer yesterday. I haven't installed it yet.

Will this program work well with burning images to cd-r's?

To be more specific, I was able to dl the program at 3 a.m. EST today (18 hours ago). You all might keep trying at odd off peak hours. I did try again a few minute ago and get the 530 login not accepted message too. Good luck.
