I thought that the beta has been out for some time already. Is this a release candidate?

They applied some security fixes and added speed dial to this latest version of the beta.

Hi ronjor.

Yes, apparently it's build 8762. How can we estimate the release of the final? Are they using RC versions?

EDIT: Checked that, no they're not, they skip that step and release the stable version at some point.

Unfortunately i haven't been able to use any version of Opera after 8.54 for various reasons so i'm hoping 9.20 will be the one.

Same here, I could not use any other version on Windows. However on Linux 9.10 is running just fine

Although it does have some nice features (Fit to width, Instant Back/forward), I´d still beg to differ. There is so much stuff that it can´t do, or at least not in an easy way. But to each his own, I guess.

Same here.
Never had any problem with those beta's and version 8767 runs great.
Speed dial was already present in the previous version, although I didn't see it immediately.

I'm right there! I took on OPERA when everybody and their brother was flocking to FF, and who could blame them after getting hammered so many times by a bullet ridden IE browser.

Almost immediately on discovery i fell head over heels for Opera. It proved so much quicker and was a delight to have changable features without a third-party soft to diddy things up.

I have nothing against FF/Mozilla because i been there and done that too but Opera stole the show for this surfer.

I used FF for many months. Later I tried Opera and was really fascinated by its speed, lightness and so many built in features. I hardly use FF now.
