Default Backup full pc with o/s to VPC

I know this is one of the features of TrueImage but I have been searching thorugh the user guide and through theh forums and can't see a description of how this is done.

I am planning to remove a 40GB drive from a computer and replace it with a new 300GB. I'd like to make an image of that original drive (which has the o/s on it and is bootable) as a VPC so I can still actually work with it.

Can someone point me to the guidance on this?
Thanks

I think that the answer is that you don't back up to a VPC, but you do a regular backup and then restore that image to a VPC. I never thought to look up "restore" in order to perform what I thought of as a backup.
