Hi All,
We are pleased to announce the release of the 2.06b1 version. Here are the links to download it: English: http://looknstop.soft4ever.com/Beta/...etup_206b1.exe French: http://looknstop.soft4ever.com/Beta/...Stop_206b1.exe This is a beta version. So, if your PC is important for your business (or anything else), you should wait before installing it. No need to uninstall your current release, just run the setup on top of your current installation and the update will be automatic. You will be prompted for a reboot at the end. Special thanks to Phant0m, who helped us a lot to test this first 2.06 beta release. Here is the content of this new version (this is an extract from the history in the help file): Added:
In any case, please indicate (among other things) the windows version you are using. Regards, Frederic |

I have Vista HP and I can't connect to the internet. I think it's just a setting, but I can't remember which one. Maybe a winsock fix?

Could you confirm: - by stopping Look 'n' Stop you have access to internet - which part of the filtering (Application or Internet) is blocking the connection ? Thanks, Frederic |

All I can tell you is when I exit the program, I still can't connect to the net. After I uninstall the program, I can connect. I don't know what is being blocked by LnS to prevent me from connecting, sorry. When I checked the computer icon, it said something about the nVidia network controller.

To determine if it is the Application filtering or Internet filtering layer, it would be nice if you temporarily disable 'Application filtering enabled' feature found on the ‘Application filtering’ screen, then try browsing to a webpage. If nothing change then try temporarily disabling 'Internet filtering enabled' feature found on the ‘Internet filtering’ screen, then try to browse to a webpage again.

If you'd like to continue the investigation, the next step would be to execute the LoadOrder utility to check if Look 'n' Stop drivers are started at the right time. Thanks, Frederic |

Hi Frederic
I'm in beta test mode at the moment Will give it a run and help if I can !Especially now I've got my validation back after a little run in with SSM. I'll be switching between OA firewall and LnS if thats okay. Could be interesting ![]()

I did as Phantom suggested, no luck. I did not run LoadOrder (I'll try that later). Here's what was said: The network adapter "NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller" is experiencing driver or hardware related issues. Maybe someone with Vista who is more knowledgeable may be able to sort it out.

At which time and where do you get this message exactly ? This is also the driver I'm using on the Vista computer, but I don't have this message. The version of this NVIDIA driver on my computer: 6.2.0.116. Frederic |

Look'n'stop 2.06 fails completely on Vista Home Premium 64bit, gives an unsigned driver error popup and then reports a problem in an error window with Driver Installation as the title and "..failed. Error code: 0x800f0203" as the content.

This will be another story (for instance a major change: drivers need to be certified and signed) Frederic |

Does that mean that a 64bit version is not in going to be available for some time?

As soon as LnS is installed, the network icon gets an X through it

Installed and running fine here.
Is LnS 2.06 slightly less secure now that watch thread injection and watch dns calls have been removed?

What shame that there are so many problems with releasing a 64 bit version...

Frederic, you mean just the people having hardware-based DEP ?
