Question Creating Image.. saving to usb hd

Hello all.

Just purchased Acronis True Image and created a bootable cd. I use the cd to boot to True Image Workstation (full version) and need to create a disk image and save it to an external usb hd. When I select backup of entire disk (create image) my usb drive is not displayed as a destination location

This is the first time i have used the software so i am lost. Please let me know what i am doing wrong.

(I am doing this because i need to restore the image to a different hd)

Did you have the USB drive connected and powered on before booting into TrueImage? That's a requirement since the hardware is recognized during the boot process into the Linux environment.

Please tell us what sort of a computer you are using. It's especially helpful if you know the motherboard and chipset as well as the brand of the USB drive.

If you are not using the latest version of TI Workstation please identify the version and build number.
