Default backdoor trojan

An internet search for acir.exe help, I found a dialog using this form. The person helping told the person in need to download CWShredder to get rid of acir.exe trojan. Is CWSchredder available now? I have this on my laptop and need help getting rid of it.

You can perform these1 and these2 malware removal instructions . If you have this file on your computer , submit it to VirusTotal here.Otherwise , post in a specific malware cleaning forum

CWShredder is (or was) available free from TrendMicro. Current version 2.19, hasn't been updated in probably about 18 months. I don't see acir.exe in it's scan list anywhere, so not sure if it would be any use in this case, though it might be.
It's a stand alone (no install) scanner/remover that was quite effective in it's day. Worth a crack, I guess, but you're probably better off following the advice above.
