Default Norton anti virus 2006 isn't doing scheduled scans

I put it to 9 am today and I wen to check and the last scan was from a week ago. I went to check if I did it correctly and I did. But for some reason it isn't scanning for the scheduled ones so I have to do them manually.

My parents want to have Norton on it. They don't trust the free virus scanners.

isnt the 2006 version mean you can get a fre upgrade to the 2007 version?
if so the 2007 version is better and if its a free upgrade get it and install it for them and set it up.

Norton ? ? ? Most of the AV products are not free , what about another definitely better product ? Anyway , my suggestion for Sym Tech Support is still valid

I think it might be the 2007 version I'll check later on.
