I have a problem with files encrypted in 90th with the Pgp 263ii

Can you help me, please, I have a problem with files encrypted in 90th with the Pgp 2.63ii for the PC 386

I tried PGP Desktop 9, but it doesn't decrypt them

How do I decrypt them ?

Please don't dupe post, you posted the same question earlier ~Duplicate post removed - Ron~ , perhaps you haven't got a response because you haven't expressed your issue clearly, at least I don't understand what you're talkin about. I assume it has to do with PGP but I haven't a clue what the 90th is? Your trying to decrypt and encrypted file, but without knowing the details how can you expect anyone to help?

What version of PGP 9 did you try? Home, Business etc.

Are the encrypted files single (whether stored on an internal or external device) or is it a whole disk encryption or email or IM?

Can you more clearly state what you mean by "encrypted in 90th"?

I tried PGP 9 Desktop, they are single files

I encrypted the files somewhere around nineties

I checked the encryption options in the .bat file, I encrypted it with only the IDEA

Well, let me ask the obvious question..., since these are rather old files, are you sure that you are using the proper key to decrypt?

As far as I know the IDEA doesn't use them, it encrypts with the key generated from the password

Now I'm searching for the programs which support IDEA

I really don't play with encryption, but my understanding is that IDEA using a randomly generated session key which is used to encrypt during the session. In turn, this session key is encrypted using a public/private key and the result is packaged with the file. To decrypt the file, the reverse is done. Public keys are, well, public. Private keys are often encrypted using a passphase (just to distinguish it from a password with word=real word=susceptible to a dictionary based attack).

Like I said, I don't play in this area. What I'd recommend is to download a copy of the relevant program manual/faq just to make sure you're performing all the needed steps, with the proper syntax, and providing the correct information. I realize this isn't a lot of direct help, but just a reality check.
