Default TI 10.0 and dual boot config

I have a dual boot system XP & Vista on separate partitions.
They are on a 250GB seagate drive partitioned in half.

I would like to replace my XP with an older XP image that was created before the "Vista" was installed.

Will this mess up my boot files......will i still have my dual boot menu that was installed by "Vista"?

Since Vista will install its boot loader on an XP partition if it finds one, then Yes it will be removed when you restore your XP partition.

If you have the space, make a backup of the current XP partition so you can go back to it if needed.

After you restore the old XP partition, you'll probably have to boot from the Vista DVD and do a "boot repair" or whatever it's called to fix it.

When I setup my multi-boot system up, I forced Vista to install in its own partition and not in my XP partition (I removed my XP partition prior to installing Vista and then restored it afterwards). This way they are not attached and either can be restored independently of the other.

If that doesn't work, hopefully there's someone else here that can help you with repairing the Vista boot loader. I don't use it so I'm not sure of the exact steps.
