I have SpywareBlaster 3.5.1, Aluria Software Sec Center and Ad-ware. SpyBlaster is always active and updated automatically. Aluria as well. Several times I find that many "items have protection disabled" when previously I had marked them all in the Block list, and then confirmed that 0 were disabled. Does the update change those settings? Does some other program?

Yesterday I did run Aluria. I also did run Ad-Aware and nothing found.

Today I have scanned with Aluria again and removed all the spyware it had detected (see below) (in fact, I also wonder why I get all this spyware if both programs are running!). Then I have opened SpywareBlaster, and surprisingly founf again that 11 items were unprotected: (all "Coolwebsearch") 225 ...., 862 searchmeup.com, 1353 loadcash.biz, 1646 free-spy-cam.net, 2343 playercodec.net, 2352 zcodec.com, 2515 moviecodec.net, 2621 tvcodec.com, 2633 watchfree.net, 2659 dvdaccess.net, 2682 videoaccess.net.

    What may be going on?

In Aluria I have found: CoolWebSearch, PornMagPass, spywareQuaque, SafetyBar

    Thanks

Re: Is SpywareBlaster not "blasting" spies?

Aluria could be disabling SWB protection.
