Hi,
I just want to verify that Acronis True Image does not use the Windows files system archive bit when doing full/differential image backups? I need to know for a client who also need to use NTBackup (which does use the Archive bit) to back up from the same server as we are using Acronis on and obviously don't want any conflicts. Thanks. |

Acronis does not use the archive bit when selecting files to backup, nor will it change the archive bit after backing up the file(s).

Hello zoltar,
Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software. We are sorry for the delayed response. Please note that Acronis True Image does not change/reset the archive bit after the backup. Please have a look at this previous post describing how Acronis True Image works in more details. Thank you. -- Aleksandr Isakov
