Question Strange Happenings with ATI 10 Home

I thought I would share my error correction with all. I tried to recover a known good backup image off my second internal drive and received the popular error "number of copied sectors differs from counted" which left me with a nonpartitioned free space . So, being a die hard try the dam*ed thing again and write to the blank free space, it worked successfully. I wonder if something happens to the MBR or position 0 on the drive when ATI does its magic? Anyway, as the saying goes if you first don't succeed try, try, try again or get a bigger hammer.
