Legend killer - Again, let me be the first to recommend FireFox. It has a pop up killer,(I know because I don't get pop ups) and I'm almost sure you can download an extension (there are many) that kills banner ads. Other than that Firefox makes IE look like its beta. You can download FF and run them both. If a page won't load, you can try it in IE and see if it's the page or the browser screwing up. I leave IE as the default just for e-mails and MS updates. The first thing you can do with FF is change the skin (there are many), then add a few extensions from the list. I ran the two browsers and Opera for a while before I dumped Opera in favor of FF.

if you use the wrong extensions firefox can crash because of them.

Not sure if this is what you want but it pretty much gets rid of banner ads. There are also a few other suggested programs at the bottom of the page.

Hi,

Not free, but works very good, "SuperAdBlocker" from the folks at SUPERantiSpyware.

Merry Christmas

Hi, folks: W/IE7, both Ad-muncher and Super-Ad Blocker are good for it. AM is compatible w/IE7, while SuperAd blocker may not be, unless it has upgraded lately. BTW, AdMuncher is one of the best ad blocker your money can buy, why the alternative? Sometime there is something just can not replaced by any others, ad muncher is one of them.

I've tried them all and Ad Muncher is the BEST of the bunch. Works with IE7 and FF. Their server strings are updated daily and their tech support is second to none. My internet surfing speed has never been faster since I started using AM.
