Exclamation Ashampoo Security Pack Released

Ashampoo has released its security suite consisting of Ashampoo Firewall pro, Ashampoo AntiSpyware, Ashampoo AntiVirus (AntiVir engine with adware/spyware detection--->AVIRA Premium) and Ashampoo Magical Security (Data encryption tool).

The good thing is that this security suite comes at a very low price of $39.99 per year. The Ashampoo Firewall PRO edition has port stealthing and other such extra features not found in the free version.

Overall, I think its pretty good protection for the price. Has anyone tested it out yet?

That was my first thought too.
That would make two suites that use AdAware's engine?
Ashampoo and F-Secure.

Bit of a strange thing because the AVIRA engine implementation used in Ashampoo AntiVirus detects spyware anyway, so there was no real need to include a special AntiSpyware module....

The only quirk I have with Ashampoo products is that they normally do not offer free product upgrades (2005 to 2006 and so on) during the license period. I asked them whether product upgrades are free for Ashampoo security products and was unable to get a satisfactory response.

Just try to clean with an av only! Anti-Spywares are much better to clean entries left by some nasties.

Best regards,
Firefighter!
