Scary moment but all ok now!

Been playing about with some new software so decided to refresh my primary snapshot with my secondary. Booted to the secondary and selected copy/update with destination as the Primary, but got the message "unable to copy/update from a static snapshot" Rebooted in and out of both snapshots a couple of times, and it copied ok then. Rebooted to the primary, and all is ok now.
Does this happen often?

Happened only when I installed an Xp version where Volume shadow copy was totally removed. otherwise, no not yet.
