    Hello,
This sounds crazy, but I think Wilders is by far margin the best security forum online. It has a rich, high-quality community and most importantly a live community. You can feel this place breathing, evolving, all the time. Many other forums feel static and dormant. Wilders has a winning mix of solid level, ease of use, good participants.
What are your thoughts, as paradoxal as my posting is?

Well i think Wilders is the best, helpfull, serious but allways with a smile on the lips.
I also surf and read on Castlecop, Security-Forums' and sometimes on Rokop Security.

I can't vote. I just can't. Wilders, Gladiator, and CastleCops all cover security, but each has its own "personality." I love all 3 of these sites.

    Shazam -- it's a trifecta. A photo finish. A 3-way tie!

I will just have to say wilders. Main reason there is a great group of people here, the website is fast, and I like how the forum is divided up. DSLReports comes in second since it also is fairly quick and some good discussions occur over there. Castlecops is third since it is too darn slow for my liking, and it also seems a little stagnant for some reason or another. I don't really visit any of the other ones very much, since I am usually over here most of the time, at dslreports (more reading than posting), or over in the arch linux forum recently.

    Cheers,

    Hello

Not crazy at all. I agree - this seems like the best security forum I've been able to find so far. Extremely comprehensive with what it specialises in.

I wouldn't go that far, but maybe it will grow on me

Voted for Wilders, although it got too much "spam" above and I have to scroll down to the best stuff, because it does not remember [IMG], Wilders is simple the best, I have learned much info in here. The other mentioned forums are mostly specialized for mallware cleaning only and etc.

Wilders without a doubt. Great variety of discussions. The mods perform the right level of moderating, without being bias, blinkered or egotistical. Love this place! :D If Wilders had a Paypal donation i'd give immediately.
DSLReports - Seriously, you gotta be kidding me. I cancelled my 4 year membership because of the moderators vindictiveness at that place. 2nd best? Maybe two years ago, but not any more.

    It's simple for me.
Where do I go the most when I want to check on a security issue?
Where do I go to seek advice when I can not figure it out myself?
Where do I go when I want to double check the advice given by someone else or some other forum if I feel I need too?
Where do you go when you want to go to a forum where it is moderated in such a fashion and you know slander, insults and just plain rudeness will not be tolerated by some of the most dedicated knowledgable moderators anywhere?
Where do you go to observer or discuss (if you desire) the most up to date news worthy security information. The latest breaking news.

I am here the most....so it has got to be the WILDERS. :thumb:

Gladiator is also good. CastleCops another fine place to go. ;)

I have no experience with other Security Forums, except SpywareInfo, which is a Malware Forum. SWI lectured me all the time, I can't work in such an environment and it wasn't my intention to solve HijackThis Logs for the rest of my life.
At Wilders I can say at least my opinion without telling me "You are not allowed in this thread, like SWI did."
SWI's server had serious problems for a long period. So I needed another forum and Wilders was my choice. Considering the comments in this thread, my choice wasn't so bad.
I'm not active in other Security Forums, I have already enough work with translating posts at Wilders. :)

PS.: At CastleCops there is another ErikAlbert, but that's not me. LOL

I would hope not. That ErikAlbert has a couple of warnings and almost got banned from the forum :D

    To muf:

I understand what you are saying about dslreports, and it is annoying at times, but I try to just overlook it and move onwards and concentrate on the more important things, which is why I am a free member.

I better registrate myself under another nick name at CastleCops, even when the other ErikAlbert gets banned. Otherwise CastleCops thinks "He is back !!!". :D

Another "What's the best" poll, so ofcourse I will not vote.
All mentioned Forums have pro's and con's.
There are other good ones not mentioned here as well.

I like the Wilder's community. Most are very knowledgeable and helpful. Also, the range of security issues encompasses all I would ever be interested in seeing that I am not an IT Pro or server maestro.

I use only Wilders, I went to other forums but look like static, little activity as compared to Wilders, so I can,t stay there more.
