As this is not a support issue, and Eset are addressing the situation, I have removed this thread from public display.

Thank you for making us aware of the problem; should this arise ever again, the best solution would be to please send a Private Message to an Eset Moderator, Wilders Staff Member and email support @ nod32.com.

Blackspear.

Hello,

I just wanted to take a moment and provide everyone with an update of what we know so far:

The web server hosting our German distributor's web site was defaced earlier today.

The German distributor had purchased a shared hosting package from the web hosting provider and all of the web sites being hosted on the server were defaced, not just our distributors, so this does not appear to be something which was targeted at them specifically. No customer data or order information was disclosed due to the defacement.

The German distributor was the first customer to notify the web hosting provider, and their site has since been restored.

The distributor had actually planned on moving the site to a different server in about two weeks. Those plans are being accelerated, though.

Right now, an ongoing investigation is underway so we may not be able to share more information until it has concluded.

Regards,

Aryeh Goretsky
