Just sent my request in too. I do find the 24 customers remark in PSC email strange. Oh well! ;)

Installed the V4.22.002 "002 fix build" version using the two step method i.e decode.exe and BOC422 files (non EDS) but the systray icon failed to materialise; rebooted twice, still no icon. As a temporary measure I was able to have it appear by going into the BOClean folder and clicking the program's application exe file.

Have now reverted my drive back to before making this install and have emailed Kevin explaining the problem I encountered.

LOL "24 people" LOL some virus common to the 24 "wilders" who posted here. :D

    Installed .002: up and running.

    CPU settled

    Seems heavier here than prior.
Maybe i'm just abit more sensitive?
Adds some extra mem use to app which is running ?
Stable at 10K memory?? isnt that alot?? almost as much as NAV/NIS srvices (but better value for same memuse Heh)

Seriously, anybody else notice a possible change?
I still wonder about PrevX and Boclean.
    Regards

I get 8,288 K for BOC422.EXE, and 1,120 K for BOCore.exe. The maximum CPU usage is only about 3 or 4 percent (2.4 GHz P4). It looks good to me.

Just got it for the Family PC which was running the old BOC421 that was at 8660K.

The new BOC422.002 is running 8652K.

So far... smooth as a babys bottom. ;)

My computer is like me: memory use a bit strained due to advanced age.
We try harder here: southern hemisphere; coriolis effects doncha know. :D

AS usual: great response from NSC team.
    Thanks for info.
    All good.

    Regards.

    Re: BOClean 4.22.002 released

The "24" quoted were customers out of perhaps about 3000 copies delivered by the time of accumlation whereupon we STOPPED sending until we could do the proverbial "WTF?" We don't have time lately for the "groups" and so, since we provide actual support from the person who wrote the code and knows it best, rather than "fanboying" and mutual admiration, we actually work out any problems encountered. We received 24 complaints when we "stopped the presses," that's where the number came from. My bad for even mentioning it, it was intended as an explanation for "files not received yet" as well until we sorted it.

The 4.22.002 has proven to be the quality everyone had come to expect from us, so for those holding out - get yer 4.22. Somewhere around the middle of this month, 4.20 and 4.21 shall die so that we can drop the older ways of doing things and "light the candle" properly ...

But GEEZ, folks ... if you don't email *ME* about a problem, how'm I gonna KNOW about it? Ain't got TIME for forums with so many people getting infected by "free pr0n" and "cracks." :)

    Hey no problem.
    Just joshing about the "24"
    Not BOC users :D
I think (stating the obvious) users here knew that e-mails had been sent and there was no need to flood you; the response would be coming stat.

Same here from me Longboard. I did not want to add to the bombardment that was likely occuring. In fact I only email them if I think the issue is unique to me. I scout around and see if others are having a similar problem and are emailing. :thumb:

Re my earlier post #54 concerning no systray icon, turns out there was a hiccup in the first install attempt which resulted in BOClean being blocked from being able to write to the registry to create the necessary startup entry (HKLM>Software>Microsoft>Windows>Current Version>Run). A re-install, however, was successful and the program is now running smoothly and correctly.

As usual, Kevin took time out to render prompt and helpful attention to the problem.
