Thumbs down is build 2302 the last one that works?

i have been using acronis true image home 9 build 2302. i could send tib files to any of three computers on my home network, and restore them without problems.

the other day i upgraded to version 3667
one minor thing...on the boot screen now you can still choose from safe or advanced options, BUT unlike in the older versions there is no explanation that the full mode included usb and network drives etc, and that the safe version does not. well i guess you can figure it out by trial and error.

most importantly i discovered the hard way that version 3667 does not find my other computers on the network. when you click on Computers Near Me, NOTHING is found. this is a disaster, since my backups are on the network.

i notice this problem on two of my three computers. it just so happens that these are both, one desk one laptop, five years old.

on the laptop when acronis is booting from cd there were three error messages about dma. on the desktop there were no such error messages and the loader appeared to work fine, except it found none of the drives on the other two computers.

once again, it seems that acronis has hastily issued software which is a step backwards. this is intensely annoying.

i wonder if others have had similar problems?

as i said the older versions do not exhibit this issue.

When you get to selecting the archive files and Computers Near Me doesn't work, try typing in the path to the archive in UNC format similar to: \\serverPC\folder\filename.tib

It may bring them up.

2302 certainly isn't the last one that works but sometimes updated drivers in the Linux rescue CD don't work for some hardware that did work.

Boot into the Acronis selection screen and hover your cursor over any of the available options - an appropriate explanation will pop up at the bottom of the screen.
