Question Do you enable or Disable HTTP checking?

I noticed that if you enable HTTP checking, and want to download a file, NOD32 first downloads the file, then if it's safe, will the actual download start, so it's like you're downloading the file twice. Which didn't make sense to me, so I disabled it, and I just rely on AMON.

am i doing the right thing?

If you stick with a safe browser and/or disable scripting, then it's ok. Be aware that AMON can't catch scripts/some exploits until after it's already been executed by the browser (but IMON can). I would recommend keeping IMON on and to try the higher compatibility setting and see how you like it. Or, you can try to play around with the "Larger file download settings" in IMON if you want.

youll still be protected with AMON but i would reconsider leaving IMON on and trying the higher compatibility setting for your browser(s).

Are you saying AMON can stop malicious scripts on web sites before they get executed (do any harm)? If so can you provide any source for this? I'm not saying I'm 100% correct, but I'm 90% sure you need IMON in this case (if you want to stop scripts before they're executed). Many of today's harmful malware are installed through scripting/ActiveX/browser vulnerabilities.

i did not say that. i meant that AMON is sufficient to protect your computer from malware.

Practically, all larger files then subject 2 passive download, and no time-limit?
Does it work nice and easy?
