If you dont know, its similar to IntelliTXT.
Theres no greasemonkey script yet and its not something that super ad blocker will take care of. any ideas? I was thinking of using Proxomitron but its a bit aggressive and I mostly use it for just blocking ads.

If you are being annoyed by the latest Contentlink advertisements (denoted by a double underscore below certain keywords on a website) by kona.kontera.com, here is how I prevent it from showing up. You must have a firewall installed. Set up an advanced rule that will block all related IP addresses for that ad. Below I summarize all of the pertinent IP addresses and rule for blocking these advertisements.
Rule Summary: This rule will block both incoming and outgoing traffic from/to IP address(es) 64.124.0.0-64.125.255.255,128.177.0.0-128.177.255.255,208.184.0.0-208.185.255.255 on all ports and protocols. This rule will be applied to all network interface cards and applications. Hope this helps! Spywareblaster may want to consider incorporating blocking this latest advertisement spam into their next update file. I'm sure there are other ways to prevent it. Regards, Eugene |

Instructions on how to block this one and many others is here. It's simple and effective. You edit your "hosts" file.
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm For Kontera's ContentLink ads, just add: 127.0.0.1 kona.kontera.com Here are some others I've added: 127.0.0.1 tribal.us.intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 jupiter.us.intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 itxt.vibrantmedia.com 127.0.0.1 freecodecs.us.intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 ign.us.intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 itxt3.us.intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 itxt2.us.intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 itxt1.us.intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 itxt4.us.intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 designtechnica.us.intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 1src.us.intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 ubergizmo.us.intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 howardchui.us.intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 mobilewhack.us.intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 sprintusers.us.intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 afterdawn.us.intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 softpedia.uk.intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 freewarepalm.uk.intellitxt.com Regards, John |

you should just use proxo (with the ssl DLLs. i sometimes use privoxy, but i always leave https filtering for proxo) then you'll never have to think about ads again. what's the point of using anything else
i'm still waiting to see my first adsense ad ![]()
