Hi all,
Have used Norton Ghost 2003 a few times for backup. Just got a cheap external drive so that I can do backups more consitently (burning CD-R's is really time-intensive on USB 1.1). Now I've got to get this basic question out of the way. During the Ghost wizard, specifying the source, I have to wonder: what is the difference between highlighting: Disk 1 and (C or just (C ![]() or does it not matter?

No responses to my easy Ghost questions? Interesting.
Anyway, I found my answer, and a lot of good additional information here: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/rema...ware~mode=flat Perhaps most folks here at Wilders use Acronis, or - gasp - nothing at all. I bought Acronis a long while ago, but couldn't get it to work with my external CD-RW. Eventually, the burner was replaced, but Acronis didn't seem to care for my new burner either. Would be tempted to try Acronis again now that I have the external hard drive, but Ghost is working pretty well.Oh well, time to wrap up this long correspondence with myself. ![]()
