    Hi shoe,

I have this before in the beta release. They need the files ewido.err, ewido.dmp and error.txt for analysis. Just send the files to technical support. ;)

The path is in the error message.
Does ppl actually read error message before posting them here ?

According to the picture you posted, you should find it in:

    "C:\Program Files\ewido anti-spyware 4.0\"

    (look for ewido.err, ewido.dmp and error.txt)

Let's offer support here, not comments that can hurt other members. Think before you post.

    Hi shoe,

The file ewido.dmp may or may not be created by Ewido when it encounter the error. If there is one in "C:\Program Files\ewido anti-spyware 4.0\", send it along with ewido.err and error.txt to technical support. If there is no ewido.dmp, just send ewido.err and error.txt to ewido support. ;)

Hi ronjor.. i agree that this post migth be a bit on the edge of what's acceptable and i'm sorry for it. However it's not rare that ppl does not pay attention to error messages.

    My appologies to shoes.
Instead i'll leave a friendly message saying that alot can be solved by paying attention to error messages. THey are not designed only for the support team.

I am getting the same thing on both my Inspiron 1300 and Shuttle SN25P. Everything was OK yesterday, today they've both got the same problem.

Me too. I just got the error and it happen when I update.
Now each update regardless of auto/manual will crash my ewido.
Checked the error log, says Internal Server Error.

I received the same message when I tried to update Ewido this morning. It crashed and a Dr. Watson log was created. I have sent all the information to Ewido support.

Woah after I restart my pc, I updated ewido and there's a big update of size 4261kb. Maybe that's the fix.

Ewido's working again for me now, it doesn't quit out any more, at least on the SN25P (I haven't tried the laptop again yet).

EDIT: Yup, laptop's fine now too.

I managed to update manually (a big - full? - download), followed by a quick memory scan worked fine.

My guess, is something went haywire with the auto-update earlier today (which is why the laptop went wrong went I switched it on).

For everyone else that had this problem, try updating manually, and hopefully the problem will go away.

    That was a database update.

As Gerard said, it was only a database update.
