FD-ISR and system safety monitor

Any problems with FDISR and SSM? I know PG causes all kinds of havoc, but I don't see anything about SSM. Just in case, if you were to install PG, does it cause irrecoverable damage, or only damage to the snapshots you attempt to manipulate with it?

I am seeing no problems with SSM at all. I would say PG doesn't cause irrecoverable damage. I'd had it on a long time, before I figured out it was the problem even when disabled. Uninstalled it and problem went away.

FD-ISR & SSM play very nicely together. ProcessGuard OTOH had to go. It was just too much trouble.

Considering moving from PG to SSM. Will the sec. snapshot boot with the red ?.

Nope, that means there's something wrong with it, usually that it's incomplete.

If PG is gone. Just do a copy update of the second snapshot. If successful it will then be good.

I'm using PG and SSM together and haven't had any problems, but I've only had them together for a few days.

You've missed the point. PG and SSM isn't the issue. The issue is the fact PG creates problems when using FDISR.

Went ahead and bought SSM after trying the trial. All is well. PG didn't behave properly with my system even before installing FDISR, so it's no big loss.

As a reminder....this is the FDISR forum and while it is permissible to discuss SSM or PG as it relates to FDISR....let's take the side discussions of PG versus SSM type questions to a more appropriate Forum in particular our other anti-malware software forum.

I've been using SSM with FDISR for a couple of days now with no apparent problems. I did get an error deleting an old snapshot, but I was able to delete a couple others without the error repeating, so I don't think SSM had anything to do with it.
